I love this simple, yet cute and cheery card created with the Lift Me Up stamp set.

Colors used: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi, Peekaboo Peach & Rich Razzleberry.

Flashback Friday: Daydream Medallion Gift Topper

I'm not one to just buy to buy...I buy what I love! That being said, if I love it...It's hard to let it go just because it's retired! The Daydream Medallions stamp set and it's coordinating Floral Framelits are definitely one of these items that I cannot part with and continue to use in my collection. It's always fun to get out these "old friends" to play...that's why I love the Flashback Friday posts!

Today I'm sharing how you can dress up a wrapped package using stamps and dies. Use whatever you may have in your collection. Try to use colors featured in the gift wrap (or make your own wrap) and you will end up with a pretty, personalized gift in no time!

Crumb Cake cardstock embossed with White Embossing Powder was a good match to my wrap. Each layer is sponged using Early Espresso ink. I also used the retired Typeset Alphabet to stamp the names onto my tag. I keep all my alphabet stamps for use in my scrapbooks.

Here's a closer look...

This wrapped package contained a Project Life Album I created for my friends. So, if you plan to gift one of these albums, make sure to keep the nice sturdy box that the album is packaged in so that you don't need to search for a box when it's finished.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Stained Glass Dragonfly Dreams

The intricate dragonfly die featured in the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits is perfect for the stained glass technique.

I had the background panel using the Hardwood Background and Awesomely Artistic already created from a previous stampin' session, so all I needed to do was add the dragonfly and a sentiment for a quick card. (I shared another version of this card here)

The detailed dragonfly die cut was cut from Basic Black cardstock and the solid layer behind it was cut from Vellum Cardstock. I sponged some color onto the Vellum and adhered it behind the intricate die cut. Then I painted the entire piece with my Clear Wink of Stella Brush Pen for some beautiful shimmer. You can kind of see it in this close up photo, but it's so much prettier in person!

I added a few small rhinestones to the floral background and the card was complete. Thanks for stopping by today!

Super Crazy Cake

I made a super deluxe Cake Crazy card for a friends 50th birthday. It measures 9" tall and fits into a standard business sized envelope.

She loves pink, so I used Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Basic Black inks. I die cut the 50 and created a cake stand using Black Shimmer Paper. A few of the cake layers also are painted with Clear Wink of Stella for even more sparkle. To create the base of the cake plate I used the tag die from the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlets and just cut both ends of a small piece of the Black Shimmer Paper to create a pedestal. A small strip of the Black Shimmer Paper with ends rounded is the cake plate. To conceal the seam I used a strip of the small Basic Rhinestones. Cool right? But wait til she opens it!

The Balloon Pop-Up Thinlets Die measures 6" wide so I added an additional 1-1/2 wide strips of DSP to the top and bottom. I lined up the score marks on my Simply Scored Tool and carefully scored the DSP to match the lines on the die cut. That is one of the really cool things about this pop up feature...the die cuts and scores at the same time!

It's then super easy to stamp with the coordinating Balloon Adventures photopolymer stamp set. Combining the Cake Crazy set with the Balloon Adventures Bundle makes for endless combinations of fun birthday projects!

Project Life Album

I put together a 6 x 8 Project Life Album for some dear friends. The album starts with their engagement and has photos from a road trip they took here to Michigan during the summer (they are from California) and finshes with wedding photos I took on their special day. They got married in a beautiful, cliffside ceremony in Laguna Beach. Here's a look at the cover of the album.

As you can see, I used a combination of new and retired SU! products. A few of the items that are still available include the Labeler Alphabet, Lace Doilies, Gold Sequin Trim, Linen Thread, 5/8" Burlap Ribbon, & Gold Foil Sheets. Here's a closer look...

Since they were married oceanside, they had a beach theme for their wedding. I used the retired set Beautiful Beach and embossed the shell images in gold and then sponged on a little color for added interest. I used one of the shells on the cover and then others throughout the album.

Their big, happy smiles warm my heart! I'm so glad we were able to be there to share their special day! Putting together this album for them was truly a labor of love and it was fun looking back at the wonderful moments we shared...now preserved for them to look back at whenever they would like. I will share some more photos of the inside pages in the weeks to come...som make sure to check back!

Have a great weekend!

Lift Me Up Sugarplum

Here I've combined a favorite Occasions set, Lift Me Up, with a favorite Sale-a-Bration set, Delicate Details and used a favorite In Color...Sweet Sugarplum. The result is a super cute (if I do say so!) thank you card!

Since Delicate Details is a photopolymer set it is super easy to line up the images just where you want them to create a background like the one above which uses 4 of the 5 images in the set. To create the multi colored balloons, I first inked in the lightest color and then used a sponge dauber to add a darker color. I masked the balloons and then stamped the clouds.

Colors used: Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry & Blushing Bride.

Baby Bear Valentine

I made a cute little Valentine card for my baby grand daughter's very first Valentine's Day...so of course sweet little Baby Bear was my first choice of stamps to use.

I used several shades of SU! pink ink...Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink & Regal Rose to stamp the three layers of the bear. Real Red was used on the sentiment. The large heart was die cut using the Up & Away Thinlit dies from Red Glimmer Paper. The border along the bottom that shows a peak through of the Red Glimmer Paper is cut using the heart border die in the Everyday Jars Framelits.

Along the bottom I stamped a lace border using the Sale-A-Bration set Delicate Details embossed in White Embossing Power.

Her's my sweet little Valentine with her card. She is already one month old!

Love is in the Air!

Valentine's Day is almost here...and the Lift Me Up Bundle was the perfect choice to make a cute card for my Valentine.

I just love the large, intricate die cut balloon and I was happy to see that after trimming away the top portion I could create a heart shaped balloon that is perfcet for Valentine's Day! I die cut Red, Silver & Gold Foil to paper piece the background of the balloon. I love that these dies has a die for each section of the balloon! Have I told you I LOVE these dies!???

I tried to keep this card more on the masculine side, but I couldn't resist adding a strand of the Gold Sequin Trim and some Red Glimmer Paper hearts. The large heart is included in the Up & Away Thinlit set and the tiny hearts are cut from a heart border die included in the Jar of Love Framelits.

The DSP along the bottom of the card is from This Christmas Specialty Paper.

Thnaks for visiting today...have a WONDERFUL weekend!

Dragonfly Dreams Thank You

I shared a card very similar to this one a few weeks back. I had created several of the background panels at that time, but I decided to add the beautiful intricate die cut dragonfly to this one.

I used the the stained glass technique by cutting a solid piece from Vellum Cardstock and sponging it with a couple colors used on my background panel before adhering it to the back of the Rich Razzleberry dragonfly.

Using the Wink of Stella Brush I added some beautiful sparkle to the dragonfly.

The inside of the Sahara Sand card base along with the envelope were stamped with the Delicate Details stamp set (FREE during Sale-A-Bration).

I used many different stamp sets and colors to stamp the collage look background panel: Avant Garden (FREE during Sale-A-Bration), Timeless Textures, Gorgeous Grunge Butterfly Basics.

Colors used: Mint Macaron, Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Always Artichoke & Sahara Sand.

Please visit my SU! Store to purchase the products you will need to create many amazing projects with the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle. When you spend $50 you can choose the Avant Garden stamp set, used here for FREE. (There are also many other great products you can choose from as well). I appreciate all orders, and make sure to send a hand stamped card, such as this one, to all who place an order with me.

Enjoy your day! We are finally seeing some sunshine here in Michigan today...it's been far too long!
