After much thought and consideration, and of course careful testing (aka..getting inky!) ...I have narrowed down my favorite set from the new Occasions Catalog...the Butterfly Basics Bundle! I'm excited to share a beautiful card set with matching box that I created with this set, along with a full tutorial.
With my new class to go kit & tutorial you can create this beautiful set of coordinating cards that fit inside a matching stationary box. The soft, water colored collage style using colors from the Subtles Collection and the detailed, die cut butterflies make these cards perfect for any springtime occasion.
Do you love the look of water color but struggle with the technique? My 16 page tutorial will take you step by step to create each card and the matching box. Lots of tips for helping to perfect your technique of watercolor are included through written instruction and 50+ photos.
As of right now, I have sold out of the Butterfly Basics Watercolor Kit (includes the full tutorial and pre-cut materials and embellishments for you to complete the set - mailed to you for only $25. U.S. only please) I may have these kits available for purchase again in the coming weeks, so if you are interested, please contact me for more info.
To complete the kit as shown, you will need to have the Butterfly Basics Bundle, ink, adhesive and basic tools including an aqua painter.
You can purchase the Butterfly Basics Watercolor Tutorial for $5.99 by simply clicking the PayPal button below.
After receiving payment, I will send the PDF file to the email provided with your PayPal payment. I usually check my email a few times daily, but please allow up to 24 hours for delivery to your inbox.

Rose Red Painted Petals
I combined two of my favorite new sets from the Occasions Catalog to create these cards...Painted Petals and Butterfly Basics.
As you can see I changed up the embossed background and the sentiments on the two cards. The first one uses the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and the sentiment is from Butterfly Basics.
The second card uses the new Spring Flowers Embossing Folder, and that sentiment is part of the Painted Petals set. These two sets work wonderfully together!
I hadn't used Rose Red in quite some time...I guess I've been grabbing its close cousin, Strawberry Slush instead? Anyways, it was nice to use this neglected color and I paired it up with Coastal Cabana. I purchased the photopolymer version of both of these sets and it's been really nice being able to line things up so easily!
We made both of these cards at my All Occasions Card Class last week.

Springtime Painted Petals
I'm in trouble...here it is only the middle of January and I'm already longing for Spring! I'm blaming it on all the pretty flowers & butterflies in the new Occasions Catalog! Playing with the new Painted Petals set has got me dreaming of Springtime...especially using this pretty color combo which is featured in the coordinating DSP.
I actually took a little bit of liberty with the color combo and swapped out a couple of the colors used in the DSP for some lighter tones...these are the colors I used: Pool Party, Wild Wasabi, Rich Razzleberry, Strawberry Slush & Daffodil Delight.
Thanks for visiting...have a great day!

Celebrate Best Year Ever
I have another card to share using one of my favorite new stamp sets...Celebrate Today. I love that this set has coordinating framelits! Actually there wasn't a whole lot of stamping done on this card...just the balloon basket and the sentiment and the rest was done easily using the Balloon Framelits Dies.
The DSP used is the Best Year Ever pack that is FREE during Sale-A-Bration! It's super cute, isn't it? I used three different patterns here.
We will be making this card at my All Occasion Card Class on Thursday. If you are thinking of coming, please let me know...today is the last day to register.

Happy Birthday From the Herd
Here's a fun birthday card using many new items from both the occasions and Sale-a-Bration Catalogs.
As you can see this card is much larger to incorporate all the elements I wanted to use. (It's one sheet of Coastal Cabana folded in half for the base.) I used die cut balloons from the Celebrate Today set (the cute little pennant and tassel are from that set as well) The coordinating Balloon Framelits make cutting all those elements super quick and easy!
The strips of DSP on the middle are from the Best Year Ever pack...which is FREE during SAB! I chose my color combo of Coastal Cabana & Crushed Curry from the DSP and threw in Real Red to make it more festive.
Another great FREE selection during SAB is the Big Day stamp set...which is where the "Happy Birthday" sentiment came from. Lots of fun new stuff, right!? Here's a closer look...
These adorable barnyard characters are in the new set From the Herd. They were fun to color using the Blendabilities.
Have a great weekend...I "herd" it is going to remain very cold with more snow on the way! Keep warm!

Vintage Butterfly Basics
I've been having some fun doing some old school stampin' using some brand new stamps. I wanted to create a vintage collage style card using the new Butterfly Basics set which is now available in the Occasions Catalog. It's been a while since I'd done some watercoloring using my aquapainter and classic inks...this worked perfect for the soft, vintage look I wanted to achieve.
I love all the images in this set! It's so versatile with pretty images, great fonts used for the sentiments and a few awesome background stamps. I used the pretty solid fern image and the little honeycomb background to create both color and texture.
The butterfly is made up of three of the images - stamped, punched & layered. The lacy butterfly coordinates nicely with my crochet trim to finish off the card. This card is one of four featured as part of my Butterfly Basics Watercolor Collage Set. I have both kits & tutorials available to make the set of four cards and the coordinating card box.

Lotus Blossom Card Set
This pretty new set will be available in just a few days. During Sale-A-Bration you can select the Lotus Blossom set for FREE with a $50 order!
I was playing around stamping the blossom in different colors, to see which I liked best. I couldn't decide, so I made a set using them all.
The flower is made up of 3 images that you stamp on top of each other to create the blossom. It's easy to line up because the stamps are photopolymer. I used just one color ink for each blossom, but stamped off on the largest background image to have more contrast.
The Whisper White background panel is embossed with the pretty new Spring Flowers Embossing Folder. I used these colors: Strawberry Slush, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral & Wild Wasabi.
You will be able to order from the Occasions Catalog starting on January 6th...which is also the start of Sale-a-Bration! I'll have more to share with you from both of these catalogs soon..so check back!
