Another new catalog favorite is the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. I love that it is 6x6 so that it will work perfectly for any card, no matter the orientation.
I love dragonflies, and it's been a while since I've had a new dragonfly stamp. I cut off his wings...that sounds mean!, but they got extra special treatment with some Dazzling Details to make them shimmer.
Have an awesome weekend!
Edited to add: If you love this original card I designed, then you are sure to love my latest tutorial which combines the beautiful new stamp sets Awesomely Artistic, used above, along with The Wilderness Awaits. I will take you step by step to create this embossed brick wall background above, plus a lot more.

May I ask what treatment you have given to the wall to make it look so realistic? Great card!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Linda, your coloring on the brick is awesome! Really pretty card!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! First I tried running the EF through the big shot inked but didn't like the way it turned out. So the second try was just inking the embossed piece using sponge daubers. I was just playing & experimenting, so don't remember for sure what colors I used.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. Love the background.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to get my hands on that EF and play with it.
ReplyDeleteJust curious, was that a Stampin Up embossing folder?, or another brand?
ReplyDeleteThank You!

ReplyDeleteHi Donna, Yes this is a new embossing folder from SU! called Brick Wall it's a larger size at 6x6 so that makes it really nice as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely card! I have a couple of brick wall embossing folders, but I do like that 6x6 size. It would be nice if SU brought out more like that.
