Hoppy Birthday

Here's a fun birthday card featuring the adorable Sale-A-Bration set So Hoppy Together. When I was creating the Bella & Friends shaker card that I shared earlier this week I thought this cute froggie would be perfect holding a bunch of balloons, so I used the puppy and balloon image from that set...obviously just inking the balloon.

The Buffalo Check background inked in Bermuda Bay was perfect for this guy card.

I used some Crystal Effects over the balloons for some extra detail. As you can see, I'm already getting a lot of use out of my Stitched Rectangle Framelits...I seem to grab them for every card since I got them! Here's a look at the inside of the card and the coordinating envelope.

Bella & Friend Shaker Card

It's hard to believe, but my sweet granddaughter has already turned two! She's at that age where everything she says, her adorable expressions, etc...are all just so darn CUTE! She just loves animals... and puppies are one of her favorites, so of course I had to use Bella & Friends to create her birthday card.

I thought a fun shaker card would be perfect, so I used the new Stitched Rectangle Framelits to easily create a frame. One balloon just wasn't enough, so I masked off the single balloon from the image and stamped a couple more. I watercolored the image using my Aqua Painter and various colored inks. Pool Party cardstock was used for the main, embossed panel and Berry Burst for the die cut frame.

Here's a look at the various confetti sequins and microbeads as they shake around inside the card. Madelyn liked the card because of the movement and the sound created by the shaker element. She wanted to inspect it closer and almost tore off the frame...but luckily her mommy was quicker than she was!

Bella's Birthday Cupcake

Bella came out to play and helped me make an adorable birthday card.

I embossed the Delicate Details lace border onto the Blooms & Bliss DSP and along with the Mint Macaron Ribbon it finishes off the cute, watercolored image nicely. I stamped my envelope to match using the Avant Garden stamp set. Sadly that set, along with Delicate Details, was part of the 2017 Sale-A-Bration offerings, and no longer available...but I will keep them as part of my collection of favorites.

A Birthday Balloon for Wyatt

The Labeler Alphabet is great for creating personalized cards. Here I used it along wit this adorable image from Bella & Friends for a cute birthday card for my little nephew.

I also created a second card to keep on hand. It can be left as is...maybe add a few enamel dots across bottom right or add a suitable greeting when needed.

Colors used are: Pool Party, Real Red, Bermuda Bay & Pear Pizzazz. The Confetti Embossing Folder was used on the background, and Layering Oval Dies to die cut the the three ovals.

Bella for Baby

We recently got some exciting news...we are going to be grandparents! This past weekend there was a gender reveal party and now we even now know what the baby will be! I had never been to a gender reveal party before. It was so much fun, and very emotional to all find out the baby's gender together.  I passed down a special gift...the baby quilt my Grandmother stitched with love and gave to me when I was pregnant with my son (the daddy to be). Here is the card that I created to go along with the quilt.

I thought adorable little Bella would be cute on a card for a little girl or boy. For the background I used a retired set called Cuddles & Tickles...which makes this card perfect for a Flashback Friday post. The little foot prints create an adorable background and then I used a little heart (on the girl side) and a tiny star (on the boy side) both are included in the Labeler Alphabet set.

I used this great new alphabet set for the words girl & boy on the front and to also create the sentiment on the inside.

I know...it's a little crooked! I messed up on the word joy, but did pretty good on the rest. So...are you wondering if its going to be a girl???

or a boy???

We will be blessed with a GRAND DAUGHTER in January! I'm the mother of two sons, so it's going to be extra fun having a baby girl to spoil!

Bella's Balloon

It's been another busy week here! I got sidetracked and couldn't post this card until today. I used this weeks sketch from Mojo Monday along with another adorable image from the Bella & Friends stamp set.

Watercoloring the sweet images in this set is so much fun!

I like the way this sketch allowed me to use scraps from the Blooms & Bliss DSP. I chose colors from the paper to color the image: Sahara Sand, Island Indigo & Mint Macaron. I popped up the balloon with Stampin' Dimensionals  and added some Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.

I guess you could say that balloons are the theme around here this weekend. The town I live in hosts an annual Balloon Festival. I had not been to it in quite some time, but we were able to go this weekend. The weather was perfect and we were lucky to see over 40 gorgeous balloons launch!

It's quite an exciting and colorful display as the balloons are filled with air and begin to take flight.

The sky was a gorgeous blue and calm as can be, allowing for the launch to go as planned. Unfortunately, the weather some years doesn't allow for this. Even too much of a breeze can deter the balloons from lift off.

Each balloon is as beautiful as the next. I especially loved the shape and the artwork painted on the carousel themed balloon. Isn't it a beauty?

Up, up and away...

The underwater scene painted on this balloon was another favorite!

At dusk many of the balloons came back to treat us all to a balloon glow.

Seeing all the balloons lighting up the night sky was really quite spectacular!

Blooms, Bliss, Bella & Friends

I've heard some say....the Pretty Kitty set is cute, but I'm a dog lover. I think the adorable images in the Bella & Friends stamp set is sure to please most any animal lover. Both of these sets were at the top of my "must have" list! Here's a card featuring my favorite image...Bella and her turtle friend.

The sweet line art images are so much fun to watercolor! I used my Aqua Painter and colors of ink picked from the Blooms & Bliss DSP...Sahara Sand, Island Indigo and Mint Macaron.

The intricate die cut flower and border is created using the beautiful new Flourish Thinlits. I'm happy to report that they cut beautifully using the Precision Base Plate. All the pieces popped right out with no need for wax paper or dryer sheets. I ran my Die Brush across once or twice and they were perfect. These dies are so pretty...I'm sure I'll be using them lots!
