Happy Camper Birthday

Happy Monday! we went from an exceptionally warm weekend to snow overnight. It's still coming down pretty good out there. It does look so pretty and peaceful but it sure was nice having a break from the cold!

Late this past summer, we bought a vintage camper...it needs lots of work, but we are hoping to have it ready to go camping this summer. With the nice, warm weather we had over the weekend, my hubby got quite a bit of work done on it. Once he is done with the framework, updating the structure,  electrical, etc...we can begin to work on updating the interior. That's the part I'm looking forward to! Can't wait to decorate and really glamp her up! I've already been hitting thrift and antique stores looking for retro items to use.

After getting our camper, I just HAD to get the adorable Glamper Greetings stamp set. I made this card for my hubby's birthday.

It is fun to add details to this adorable little camper and then watercolor. I chose the same color scheme (Tempting Turquoise & Real Red)  for this card as we plan to do with our camper. I plan to make some little home decor projects with this set to decorate our home on wheels.

Here's a look at our 1964 camper on the day we brought her home.

Do any of you own a vintage camper? While we have done lots of camping in the past, this is our first camper. We looked for a long time before we found one that wasn't too far away, fit in our price range, and didn't need too much work. Two out of three aint bad I guess. She just ended up needing a whole lot more work than we thought. Hopefully we will make lots of wonderful memories as we travel in her in the future. Wish us luck!

Delightful Pretty Kitty

Today is a gloomy, stormy Monday here in Michigan. Good news is that it's supposed to be mid 40's which is basically a heatwave for this time of year! Bad news is that it looks like instead of the sun we will be seeing lots of rain. Wah, wah! It's melting all the snow to reveal the drab brown grass and muddy roads...blah! So, how do I beat the Winter blues...in my studio playing with bright colors and Springy, floral products, accompanied by good music!

I think you will agree that this cheerful card using one of the adorable images from Pretty Kitty along with Delightful Daisy DSP looks very happy and Spring-like!

I colored this kitty to look like my Mom's cat because this card is for her. I used my Aqua Painter along with colors of Classic Ink to coordinate with the DSP. I did use the black Watercolor Pencil as well to color the kitty. You cannot tell from the photo, but I used Wink of Stella to add some shimmer to the flowers.

I just love watercoloring the sweet kitty images in the Pretty Kitty stamp set! A while back, I even created a tutorial that takes you step by step watercoloring each image to create a set of cards...if you are interested you can purchase it here.

You can't give a card with a naked envelope, right?!

I used the flowers from the Bloomin' Love set to add a floral design to the envelope. Have a delightful day!

Party Panda Easel Card

These Party Pandas are helping a special little one celebrate her first birthday.

The Picture Perfect Party DSP is so much fun! I used several cut out gifts on the base of the easel card to hold the main panel in place.

Here is what the card looks like folded down to pop into an envelope.

These little panda bears are just so cute! I love that this set also comes with the confetti stamp to add to the background as well. This stamp set can be yours FREE gift with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration! The Picture Perfect Party DSP is available in the new Occasions Catalog.

Peaceful Birch Trees

Today is the final day to purchase from the Holiday Catalog. There are so many awesome products such as the Carols of Christmas stamp set used on this card...so don't miss out!

To create this card, I inked up the Woodland Embossing Folder using my Smokey Slate ink pad and then I used a Sponge Dauber to add just a bit of Dapper Denim ink before carefully placing my Whisper White cardstock into the folder and running it through my Big Shot.

The "PEACE on EARTH" sentiment from Carols of Christmas was embossed with Silver Embossing Powder and the cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I adhered the embossed square  to a slightly larger square of Silver Foil and attached over the Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon using Stampin' Dimensionals

Daisy Delight Boxed Set

Here's a set of cards using the Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating Daisy Punch.

I used some favorite (now retired) DSP along with the Hexagon Embossing Folder and embellished each one with a Faceted Gem and 1/8" Gold Ribbon.

The set of three cards with stamped envelopes fits inside one of the Acetate Card Boxes featured on page 13 of the Holiday Catalog.

I made a little tag attached with some ribbon and it made a nice little gift.

Thanks for visiting today!

Merry Christmas!

Wanted to post real quick just to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas! This is the first year of being a SU! demo that I didn't send out Christmas cards. I feel bad, but time just got away from me while I was busy with so many other things. Rather than make myself crazy, I decided to give myself a break. I did create one Christmas card this year...for my grand-daughter's 1st Christmas.

I used the Card Front Builder Thinlits to die cut the pine trees for my background. The slopes were perfect for this adorable sledding bunny from the retired Merry Crittermas stamp set. The bunny was watercolored and then I added some sparkle with Dazzling Details, Basic Rhinestones and the Metallic Edge Ribbon.

I did a little Christmas photo shoot with my dear grand-daughter last month, and here's one of my favorite shots. I hope to scrapbook this and a few others real soon.

Merry Christmas!!!

Easy Gift Tags

I've been busy wrapping gifts and getting ready for Christmas...as I'm sure most of you also are. Such a busy time of year! I made a bunch of cute, yet easy gift tags for all my packaging. I think they turned out nice and really kicked up my Dollar Tree wrapped gifts up a notch. (why spend a bundle on wrapping when it just gets torn off and thrown away, right?) Take a peek ...

I used punches and dies to cut out Stampin' Up! card stock to coordinate with my wrapping paper. Each die cut shape has a circle punched from the gift wrap.
I attached the tags to the gifts with curling ribbon.
Here's a closer look at a few of the tags.
Some are embellished with Basic Rhinestones and Frosted Sequins.
All are stamped on the back with plenty of room for a greeting and names.
If you have not yet finished your Christmas shopping, and you have paper crafters on your list...GREAT NEWS...

Painted Autumn Pumpkin Patch

Happy Halloween! Instead of an autumn scene, like on this card, I have more of a winter scene going on outside my window right now. That white stuff is coming down like crazy! Luckily, so far, it's not sticking, but melting as it hits the ground.

This is a card created mainly with Designer Series Papers...all but the spooky cat are part of the Painted Autumn pack of papers. I created the "Happy Fall" sentiment using the Labeler Alphabet and then added some texture using the Timeless Textures stamp set.

Don't forget...today is the last day of the Designer Series Paper Sale!

Delightful Daisy So Very Loved

I think that the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper is my favorite paper from this years catalog (at least right now!)  When I first saw these papers I knew I had to scrap the photos I had taken of my sweet granddaughter just a month before the catalog came out. She was wearing an outfit that matched the colors in the paper and she was even holding a daisy!

I cut eight 3-1/2" squares of DSP to create the background for my page.. A 2007 Sale-A-Bration set, So Very was used to create a title, which is embossed in white on Night of Navy. I used the very handy Labeler Alphabet set to stamp the words on my list next to the largest photo. I used the tiny daisy image in the Daisy Delight set to create the bullets for my list and the largest daisy image with coordinating Daisy Punch for the large daisy embellishment. The center is one of the pretty Gold Faceted Gems. Here's a closer look.

Originally I had planned to use just one photo on this layout, but couldn't decide between two of the photos...so I ended up cutting 3 photos down into small squares using the Stitched Shape Framelits, and placed those photos along the bottom.

Can you spot "something Stampin' Up!" in the photos themselves? I made little Maddy a bunch of headbands when she was only a month or so old using felt and the Spiral Flower Die. You cannot see in the photo, but there is a large Iced Rhinestone jewel in the center. Babies need bling too! (Both the die and the rhinestones have been retired, so they are no longer available)

After I was finished with my layout I realized I hadn't included the date or age of Maddy, so I used the Tiny Tag set with it's coordinating punch (both retired) and wrote her name and age on the tags which are hung from the bow created using Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon.

I used pretty much the same layout for a Halloween page using the Spooky Night DSP shown here.

If you too love these papers...you can get them for FREE!

But hurry...the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Sale ends tomorrow!

Spooky Cat on a Fence

This isn't a trick! The spooky Halloween card I created was made using the Spooky Nights DSP... with no stamps involved!

A picket fence was created from Basic Black cardstock that was embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder and then cut into strips. The cat was punched from the Spooky Nights DSP and the pumpkins were fussy cut from a different sheet in the pack. Even the spooky tree and moon are included in this spooktacular pack of Designer Papers.

If you haven't yet taken advantage of the buy 3 packs of DSP and get one FREE sale yet...you have until October 31st...don't miss out!
