You've Got This Garden Collage

Happy (Flashback) Friday! Today I have a card to share which uses my all time favorite Sale-A-Bration set - Garden Collage. It was from way back in 2005, which also happens to be my very first SAB with Stampin' Up!

Actually it was called Sell-a-Bration back then and the rubber was manufactured in a special color just for SAB, so this set has mint colored rubber. With each $50 spent, there were six stamp sets to choose from. Just a little flashback trivia for you along with this card...

I stamped the burlap looking background from You've Got This in So Saffron and then watercolored the image using my Aqua Painter. The edges are sponged with Soft Suede and the butterfly and flowers have a little sparkle to them thanks to Wink of Stella.

Have a great weekend!

Quick Botanical Card

I was giving a friend a little gift with a few goodies from the Bath & Body Works Honolulu Sun line of products and I thought it would be cute to create a card that coordinated. Of course I came up with this great idea right before I had to leave!

One of the many things I love about Stampin' Up! their beautiful colors! So many choices make it easy to color coodinate almost anything your little heart desires! In this case - Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist & Wild Wasabi worked well with the gift.

With the help of the awesome Botanical Builder Dies I easily whipped up this card in under 1/2 hour and was out the door. My friend noticed right away that the card matched the gift and she thought that was the best part! (Love her!)
Had I not been in such a rush, I probably would have added a few more flowers...but for a super quick and easy card this turned out great.

Have a wonderful day!

Thoughts and Prayers Flowering Tree

My hubby's two week vacation is winding down. It's been warm and sunny, so lots of time to enjoy our pool and get some projects done around the house. Most evenings I've been too busy or too tired to get downstairs in my stamp room. Unfortunately, I received some sad news earlier this week which forced me to get in there and create a sympathy card.

Without doing much stamping in the past couple weeks, I think I'm a bit rusty and had a hard time coming up with something suitable...sympathy cards are always difficult to create anyways. I ended up pulling out my go to sympathy set - Thoughts and Prayers and created this card.

There's a teeny tiny flower die in the Fiesta Time Framelits that was perfect for creating some flowers for this tree. I cut them from Elegant Eggplant cardstock...which for some reason didn't show up that color in my photo. Too late to try and take a better photo however because the card is now on it's way to the recipient. So just imagine that the flowers and mats are Elegant Eggplant, OK? I really love that color paired with Sahara Sand, which is what the main panel is. The flowering vine stamp creates a pretty background when stamped multiple times.

I used the line, wood grain-like image from Gorgeous Grunge inked in Sahara Sand and then stamped off once. It added some interest to otherwise plain background but was light enough to not over power the tree.

Thanks for visiting...I should be back to posting more regularly soon. Have a nice weekend!

Flourishing Thank You

I haven't been too good about updating my blog recently...hubby has been on vacation and we've been enjoying our all too short Michigan summer while we can! I have been trying to get into my stampin' studio during the evening and have been working on a few projects. Today I have a thank you card that uses the beautiful Flourish Thinlits.

These are hands down my favorite new dies...maybe even ever!? They are so pretty & elegant. The only stamping I did here was the sentiment which is from the Thoughtful Banners set. I die cut my shapes from Mint Macaron cardstock and ran it throught the Big Shot using the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder.
