French Foliage Thank You

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! Things around my house have been crazy busy this past month, so it's been a while since I posted anything new. It always takes a while to pack away all the decorations after our annual Halloween party, and this year just as we were done with that we had to get ready for a 10 day trip to Florida. We spent several days at Disney World...which I just LOVE, so we had a wonderful time!

Here is a card I made earlier this month but haven't had time to post.

French Foliage Faux Tile

Here's another Artisan Award entry. I tried to show a lot of variety in the work I sent in. This one uses a fun technique and is very masculine.

After I stamped this I embossed it in Clear embossing powder so it really did look like tile. Check out this close up view.

French Foliage Folio

I'm excited to finally share my project that is featured this month on Craft Project Central! I used the French Foliage stamps along with Well Worn DSP to create this Autumn themed set. Wouldn't this make a nice thank you gift to give your hostess at Thanksgiving? That's what I plan to do with the set I made.

These nature inspired designs work well as masculine cards and can be used for many different occasions depending which greeting you decide to use. I have to give thanks to my friend Pat for the inspiration on this project. She sent me the cutest set filled with note cards a while back and it was her design that I changed up to hold these full sized cards. Up to 6 cards can be stored in the folio...depending on the thickness.

Birthday Foliage

It's starting to feel like Fall here in Michigan, so this card using French Foliage seemed appropriate to share today.

I inked the largest Clear Mount Block (F) in Crumb Cake and "stamped" my Very Vanilla card stock to create the background for my leaves. The leaf images were inked using the Rock 'n Roll technique...ink stamp using the lightest color and then "rock" and "roll" the stamp in a darker color catching just the edges.

Card stock: Crumb Cake, Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede & Very Vanilla

Wisteria Field Flowers

Love the Field Flowers stamp set and the color combo of Wisteria Wonder & Concord Crush, so I really like how this card turned out.

I also used several other stamp sets to complete the collage look...Elizabeth inked in Soft Suede, French Foliage (the splatter marks) inked in Wisteria Wonder, Watercolor Trio (retired) for the greeting inked in Concord Crush, and French Background (retired) inked in Crumb Cake.

French Field Flowers

I asked in my last post if you could guess which new stamp set I was most excited to play with? It was a tough choice...but Field Flowers won out. I was inspired by the card on the cover of the catalog which also uses the single stamp Elizabeth...here's what I came up with.

For the background I used the script & splatter stamps from French Foliage. I was so happy to see that stamp set in the new catalog because I hadn't purchased it when it was in the Holiday Mini last year and I was kicking myself. I was having so much fun stamping with these new stamps, that I had to try several other color combos.
