Bright & Cheery Greenhouse Garden

Here's a card I created for the Creating Pretty Cards Challenge over at Craft Project Central. Each month in addition to the great 3D projects that Craft Project Central have for you, they also host a monthly card challenge – Creating Pretty Cards!! This month is the 10th card sketch.

I used one of my favorite retiring sets...Greenhouse Garden along with the Hostess Set Perfect Words. I chose bright & cheery colors from the Brights Collection...Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie & Rich Razzleberry. It's fun to have some Seam Binding Ribbon offered in Daffodil Delight...as you know I just {LOVE} that stuff! It's so easy to tie a bow and it's so soft that it doesn't make a big bump when mailing. This new ribbon is part of the Summer Smooches Suite which is a sneak peek from the upcoming new catalog.

I hope you are inspired by this card...I find it so much easier to create when I have a great sketch to inspire me first. So why don't you play along too...looking forward to seeing what you create!

If you like the Greenhouse Garden set but have not added it to your collection yet, you'll want to purchase it before it's no longer available. After May 31st it is retiring along with many other great sets. Click here to see the entire list.

Hello Friend

What could be more cheerful on a gloomy day than some pretty daisies stamped in Melon Mambo & Rich Razzleberry? It's raining here this morning (better than snow at this point!) and I needed to play with a bright color combo to add some sunshine to my day. This card will be perfect to lift the spirits of a friend

Recently after using my Greenhouse Garden set for the first time in a long time, I've now used it several times since. I actually used the same card design as this card I posted recently, I just changed up the colors and the DSP. The "hello" stamp I used here is from the Hello Again set, which is a FREE set available during SAB.

Stamps: Greenhouse Garden, Hello Again, Tiny Tags & Botanical Blooms (2009 SAB set for leaves)
Card stock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Pumpkin Pie & Melon Mambo DSP from the Brights Patterns Pack.
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo & Certainly Celery
Accessories: Jewelry Tag Punch, White Organza Ribbon & Nestabilities

Hope your day is bright & cheery!

Vintage Garden

Don't ask me why I have not used this set in so long? Greenhouse Gardens is such a beautiful set, but I just haven't used it much. I'm glad I brought it out to play because I think it compliments the new Springtime Vintage papers nicely.

Stamps: Greenhouse Gardens, Because I Care (Level 1 Hostess set) & Botanical Blooms (2009 SAB set for leaves)
Card stock: Always Artichoke, River Rock, Very Vanilla & Springtime Vintage paper
Ink: Always Artichoke, Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Always Artichoke Seam Binding Ribbon, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Nestabilities Dies

They are saying we are going to get blasted with another 4-6 inches of snow and perhaps freezing rain. Looks like another good day to stay home and be creative! Thanks for visiting me today. :-)
