Blogiversary Blog Candy!

I cannot believe that it has already been 2 years ago today that I made my very first post on this blog! I've really enjoyed sharing my projects and stories here more than I thought. Knowing I have to come up with something good enough to post here, keeps me stamping regularly and trying new things. Plus, I've made a lot of nice friends through this blog that I otherwise would not have the pleasure of knowing. I really do appreciate hearing the nice comments you all leave for me when you visit. When I started this blog I wasn't even sure I'd even keep it up, now here it is 2 years later and I have over 300 subscribers along with over 63,200 hits...so I guess I'll keep at it! Anyways...in honor of making it 2 years, I thought I'd start the New Year off by thanking my readers with a little blog candy.

I'll be sending the following goodies to a lucky winner in the USA or Canada:

  • a new & unmounted SU! set called Suitable for Framing
  • 2009 magnetic coaster calendar made with the NEW Raspberry Tart paper and Petal Pizazz stamp set
  • stack of 4" square coasters
  • box of pastel printed ribbons
  • plus an assortment of die cuts for you to play with - (Scalloped Envelope, Large scallop & Top Note)

To win my New Years Blogiversary Blog Candy, please leave a comment here on this post by 10:00 Monday morning - January 5th. Tell me what your New Years resolution(s) are for 2009. To be fair, I guess I'll share mine as well:

  1. Be more health conscious
  2. Do more scrapbooking instead of merely collecting beautiful papers and embellishments
  3. Finish my Halloween scrapbook before our 20th Halloween party (this year!)
  4. Be more organized with paper work
  5. Finish an entire song on my new Aerosmith guitar hero game! ;-)

Now that it's in writing I have to stick to it...right?

Good luck! I'll post who the lucky winner is on Monday afternoon.

Happy New Year and congrats on the blogoversary!

fwiw, I played the Aerosmith Guitar Hero last night and sucked :-) The game is really fun but I totally suck at Guitar Hero. I only play on the easy version so I only have to use the yellow, red, and green keys but still have a hard time finishing the songs.

Anyway, my New Years Resolutions are:

1. Eat healthier
2. Stamp instead of just hoarding my materials
3. Be more patient with my kids
4. Nurture my relationship with dh
5. Lose 30 pounds before I turn 40

Hi Lynn, Congratulations on the blogiversary! Good for you. I enjoy your website and check it out daily. Thanks for your inspiration, Lynn. My resolution is to put more effort into my housecleaning. YIKES! I'm not a slob, but I'd much rather stamp than clean the toilet! Happy 2009...shecop@charter.net

I am sorting through stamping stuff that will no longer fit in my desk area and finding new homes for things. Make my self quilt at least one day a week and stop hording material. Spend 1 hour a day on me trying to lose the spare tire around my middle.

I enjoy your blog. Congrats on two years. There is hope for me yet!

Congrats on your blogiversary!! Way to go!! My resolutions are the same as they have been for years, lol. Lose the weight, use the stamp stuff I buy, try to spend more time with kids and hubby, I could go on but I think I'll stop there. Have a great New Year!!

Congratulations Lynn and thanks for giving us the presents!

Resolution #1
Think less about myself and my own stuff and be more mindful of others (listening, building them up, etc)

R#2
Finish building my blog and stop striving for the "perfect" layout, freaking over tech inadequecies(my own), etc and join the blog universe and all the fun.

R#3
Dust off that life plan I wrote out and work on concrete baby steps to get me there.

R#4
And of course spend more time stamping and working towards the perfectly organized stamp studio!

Thanks for all the inspiration! - Jean

Happy blogoversary Lynn! So happy to have joined the SBS3 group and got the chance to meet and know you. You are such a kind and generous person with an amazing talent. Thanks for all the wonderful stuff you share on your blog! Cheers to you! :)

Your candy looks yummy! One New Year's resolution I have is to try to relax more and stamp for fun, not because I feel like I have to. Sometimes it turns into a job, rather than a fun hobby. Thanks for the chance Lynn! Happy New Year! :)

My resolution is to take better care of myself so that I can take better care of my family.

Congrats on your 2 year blogaversary! My new years resolutions are simple; to try new foods/recipes and to use my hoarded papercrafting supplies. Fun blog candy, thanks for the chance to win. jmniffer

Ok, here goes my list:

1. Sell my retired stamps. Of course I'll keep a few (ahem) that I truly love, but I am running out of room so they have to go.

2. Make healthier decisions for myself. There are a ton of fun races here in Austin and I want to start running, not walking, in some of them. I have to make better choices in the food and exercise categories in order to do that.

3. Focus more time on my little girl and husband, and forget about my "to do" list.

4. Spend more time at my crafting table and less time wanting to be at my crafting table.

I hope everyone is able to keep all of their resolutions this year! Thanks for a chance at some incredible blog candy!

Congrats! Love Mr. Penguin!

My resolution is to live life like I mean it! (the SU hostess set in the fall/winter 09 catty is great for my new mantra) live with more passion, zest and no regrets! I just read a book called "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Alcom and it is one of the most inspirational true life stories I've read. I want that kind of peace and passion in my life!

I usually don't write my resolutions down b/c then I usually don't keep them....backwards I know. BUT since I would love to win I GUESS I will play along ;)
#1. With my husband JUST back from deployment (3 days) I want to spend as much family time as possible with him and our 17month old son
#2. Focus on my new blog. Build it, make more posts. Which leads right into....
#3. Take more time to be creative by myself.
Well there you go! Have a wonderful weekend and an even better new year!!

Hey! Well, you know how much I looove your work, and envy your creativity. You are so talented! I can't believe it's been 2 years; you've done a great job.
My main crafting resolution is to actually use EVERYTHING I buy and stop hoarding the DP! Secondary is the same as last year-finish the 2008 scrapbook by Valentine's Day (and that's a lofty goal). I have many other plans for change on my books for 2009 as well, but won't bore you with them all.

BTW loved the acetate card!

This is very easy for me- get out of debt. My husband and I have a plan to get out of out of debt in 18 months and I am so looking forward to 2010 when I can say we no longer have the debt hanging over our heads. The second reason is becuase after a year if we are successful we are going to start trying to have our first child! Just incase I'm lucky enough to win that great blog candy, jchambers27@comcast.net
